eBay And AdSense Joint Income Profits

eBay’s profits rose 24% in the last three months of 2006 to $349 million. Part of their success is down to an affiliate program.

To help this program along, eBay provides data feeds that let you place ads for eBay auctions on your site. You can then place AdSense ads alongside this free content.

If someone clicks on an auction ad and wins the auction or simply signs up and becomes an active eBay user, you get paid a commission.

If they don’t click on an eBay ad, they might click on an AdSense ad and you’ve profited that way.

The additional content helps you get search engine traffic and it is automatically and frequently updated (because auctions don’t last very long).

In practice though, sorting all this out takes a bit of skill, effort and time.
