Mini Sites Explosion. Goal Setting
As I am running many mini sites, I would like to pass over to you my experiences on how to successfully setup and run mini sites to beginners and experienced marketers alike.
I will also be from time-to-time giving tips and exposing some of the techniques that I use for setting up and marketing my mini sites.
But first things first, and that is the requirement of a successful goal setting program. I am afraid to say that the famous saying of ” Plan to fail, fail to Plan” is so true, especially when you are building, marketing and and running 100’s of mini sites!
You really must sit down and write down yourself a set of goals in life, which is actually very easy to do. I have already mapped out a 2-year program for you, showing you an example on how I actually do this for my mini site roll-out program, my goal in this example is to have 2,500 mini sites up and running by the end of March 2010. Now don’t let these numbers scare you, to do this is easier than you think, of course if you are happy with a hundred sites, that is okay too, the number of sites are entirely up to you, just watch out and follow me with this Mini Sites Explosion program.
The first step is to set a two-year program, this will entail the following goals, so get a piece of paper and pen and start selecting your goals today, don’t be too specific just be realistic and keep it simple. Do it NOW, trust me you feel great and powerful once you have this done and are accomplishing the goals that you set out to do.
For this simple exercise I have broken it down in the following sections, which is based upon a part-time basis, what is great about this formula, is that once you accomplish this, you can quit your full-time job and still be only working 4-5 hours a day!
Two-Year Action Program
- To have established and have up and running 2,500 mini sites making me at least US$1,000,000 a year
- To continuously research for new niches and keep an eye out for marketing trends
- Map out and develop Monthly Progressive Roll-out Program
- To make at least on average $2 per day per site
- Prepare Yearly Budget and Cash flow Program
- To be working independently by end 2009
- To become a master in building mini sites
- You may have personal goals here that you may want to add
- Review your goals each year and see what you have accomplished during this period and if needed, take corrective action. Review your Budget and Cash flows. Review time once a year +/- 8 hours.
Now to manage our goals we need to set it up and break it down into Monthly, Weekly and Daily Program’s.
Monthly Action Program
- To spend at least 80-100 hours a month developing and building 100+ Mini sites, yes forget about the box for a while stick to your goals, but please spend your Sunday’s with your family, I do!
- To continuously research for new niches and keep an eye out for marketing trends
- To continuously develop research and developing myself in the skill of building and successfully marketing mini sites
- Review and manage Budget and Cash flow Program.
- Put 80% of my mini sites income back into building even more mini sites.
- Map out and develop Weekly Progressive Roll-out Program
- You may have personal goals here that you may want to add
- At the end of each Month, review and map out your goals for the following month and update Monthly Progressive Roll-out Program, see what you have accomplished so far, if off target take corrective action. Review time +/- 2 hours.
Weekly Action Program
- To spend at least 25 hours over six days developing and building 20-30 Mini sites
- To continuously research for new niches and keep an eye out for marketing trends
- To continuously develop research and developing myself in the skill of building and successfully marketing mini sites
- Review and manage Budget and Cash flow Program
- Put 80% of my mini sites income back into building even more mini sites
- Map out and develop Daily Progressive Roll-out Program
- You may have personal goals here that you may want to add
- At the end of each Week, review and map our your goals for the following week, review and update Weekly Progressive Roll-out Program and see what you have accomplished so far, take corrective action, if needed. Review time +/- 1 hours.
Daily Action Program
- To spend at least 3-4 hours per day developing and building min sites, don’t forget your goals!
- To develop at least 8-10 new niches and keywords schedules
- Manage your outsourcing tasks
- You may have personal goals here that you may want to add
- At the end of each Day, review and map out your goals, update Daily Progressive Roll-out Program to stay on track of accomplishing your goals. Review time +/- 20-30 minutes each morning to organize your day.
This is a great action program that has worked well for me over the years, so let’s take this important step towards success today.
One important suggestion I would like to make here, once you are you satisfied with your goals settings, set it up on the Outlook Calender so you can monitor it and get daily, weekly and monthly reminders, if don’t have Outlook you can also use Google Calender which has the same functions and it is free!
Wow, that was a long post but a very important one!
Keep watching out for my next post which will be about setting up the Mini Site Progressive Roll-out Program.
To your success!
Bert
